We’re Happy to Introduce Dr. Selim

It was no roll of the dice that brought Dr. Selim Koseoglu to Las Vegas.

Dr. Selim (as his young patients call him) was delighted to join the clinical team at Center For Sight as a pediatric ophthalmic specialist. After 18 years heading up the pediatric ophthalmology department at Children’s Hospital Oakland, in Oakland Calif., he is excited for the opportunity to join the team at Center For Sight.

“I really enjoy working with children,” said Dr. Selim, who believes that good vision starting in childhood is the foundation for a happy, healthy life.

Dr. Selim is a board-certified ophthalmologist with 20 years of experience. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric eye conditions and strabismus (crossed eyes). This means Dr. Selim is the resident expert on any and all pediatric cases, an honor he doesn’t take lightly.

Dr. Selim was born in Ankara, Turkey, where he received his undergraduate and medical school degrees (with second-place honors), before moving to the US to become a citizen, complete his residency training in general ophthalmology as well as a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

As a high-volume surgeon and seasoned practitioner, Dr. Selim looks forward to working with his young patients and their families, performing sight-restoring and life-changing surgeries, creating success stories and smiles on the faces of the children he treats.
