Background
Originally from Idaho, Dr. Jaussi completed his undergraduate work at University of Idaho. While there, he played collegiate basketball and graduated as a three-time Academic All-American honoree. He went on to earn his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to his specialty training in ophthalmology, Dr. Jaussi served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force and was named Flight Surgeon of the Year during his service.
At the completion of his military medical service, Dr. Jaussi completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and a rigorous fellowship in glaucoma at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Dr. Jaussi feels privileged to have practiced medicine in many different parts of the country and considers it an honor to now serve as a key member of the Center For Sight – Las Vegas team. “The caliber of professionals I work with daily is amazing and our patients are wonderful,” he said. “I thoroughly enjoy helping people with their vision issues, providing high-quality care to people when they are in need.”
Dr. Jaussi loves to stay active and enjoys the Nevada climate, hiking and mountain biking with his wife. He also loves playing golf, pickle ball and even a little basketball from time to time.
