Background
At Center For Sight, Dr. Licina specializes in general eye health examination, refraction, ocular disease and pre and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery care. “Positive patient interaction is very important to me,” said Dr. Licina. “Having had extensive vision therapy myself as a child I believe gives me a unique perspective on patient care. I am very focused on serving my patients well.”
Dr. Licina moved to the Las Vegas area when she was a teenager but is originally from Eastern Europe (Bosnia). She is fluent in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian. When time permits, Dr. Licina enjoys traveling the world and exploring different cultures, people and traditions.
She has volunteered her time with the Lions Club, providing free eye exams to thousands of underserved patients in Tijuana, Mexico, as well as serving children in high-risk schools and underdeveloped areas in California. Dr. Licina has also worked at the Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute in San Diego providing follow-up care for patients who have undergone refractive and cataract surgery and corneal surface treatments, including pterygium removal, crosslinking and Salzmann’s nodule removal.
