Background
Dr. Liang considers it a privilege to care for her patients’ vision for a lifetime. She also feels as at home in a surgical suite as she does in the clinic developing lifelong relationship with her patients. “I am drawn to the precision, the optics and the math involved in microsurgery,” said Dr. Liang. “But I also love helping people see better every day. Your sight impacts everything you do for the rest of your life. Seeing that transformation in people’s sight is extremely satisfying.”
Dr. Liang founded “Sight for Life,” a non-profit organization who assists underprivileged individuals suffering from sight-threatening disease to receive extraordinary medical and surgical eye care.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Hawaii and Nevada, Dr. Liang couldn’t wait to establish her private practice in the Las Vegas area that she has called home for many years. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Her post-graduate training included an internship at the University of Hawaii followed by an ophthalmology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
She opened the doors to Center For Sight in 2013. Today, the comprehensive eye care practice has four thriving locations, including the state-of-the-art flagship location in Tivoli Village, which opened in 2017. “I am very proud of the culture we have built here at Center For Sight,” said Dr. Liang. It is very patient-centric. 20/Happy is not just something we say; you can feel it in our offices every day. We are committed to that.”
