Dae Y. Song, MD

Dae Y. Song, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Center For Sight with over three decades of experience in comprehensive eye care. He focuses on the medical diagnosis and treatment of complex eye conditions and works closely with Center For Sight specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

Background

Dr. Dae Y. Song is a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 30 years of experience in comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Song graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. After more than three decades in private practice, Dr. Song has joined the Center For Sight team as a medical ophthalmologist.

As a solo practitioner for over 30 years, Dr. Song has extensive experience in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide range of eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, corneal infections, and eyelid disorders. In addition to cataract and other eye surgeries, he has experience in laser treatments for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and posterior capsular opacification (commonly referred to as after-cataract).

Dr. Song is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. As a medical ophthalmologist at Center For Sight, Dr. Song diagnoses and treats almost all eye diseases and refers surgical conditions to the appropriate doctors within Center For Sight.

Outside of work, Dr. Song is an avid tennis and pickleball player. He has been playing tennis for more than 50 years and was a ranked USTA junior tennis player in the Northeastern United States. He also has a strong interest in fitness and wellness and is a Lifetime Fitness member.
