Background
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Schwartz attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999. Following a primary care residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, he established himself as an eye doctor in Las Vegas.
Dr. Schwartz has a special interest in complex contact lens cases and has deep experience with scleral lenses and hybrid contact lenses for hard-to-fit contact lens patients. “I enjoy being able to help patients who want to wear contact lenses but have some issues that make it challenging for them to be fitted properly,” he said.
Dr. Schwartz served as a lecturer and clinical instructor for the Clinical Optometry Program in Singapore and is a speaker for Alcon Contact Lenses as well as Allergan’s Glaucoma division. He also consults with SynergEyes on scleral and hybrid contact lenses. He has served as a board member for Sight for Life, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Eva Liang whose mission is to assist underprivileged patients suffering from sight-threatening disease to receive critical eye care.
Dr. Schwartz loves being a father to three young sons and enjoys taking advantage of Las Vegas’ great climate by swimming, hiking and exploring the outdoors with his boys.
