Reduced Dependency on Glasses = Increased Freedom for You!
So, you’re starting to experience symptoms of cataracts, and you think it might be time to start considering surgery. With all of the different options out there, it can be difficult to know which is the best path to take. With cataracts, seeing the right path to take, or anything for that matter, can be draining on your eyes and your life.
After surgery, you don’t want to wear glasses or depend on them throughout the day! That’s why you had the surgery in the first place, right? At Center For Sight, we offer premium cataract lenses. These lenses offer the opportunity to eliminate or greatly reduce the need for glasses and readers following cataract surgery.
What Are Premium Cataract Lenses?
Premium cataract lenses are an upgrade from the monofocal lens that provides high-quality vision at only one focal point. However, you don’t live your life on one focal point! The premium lenses are the cherry on top of the FDA-approved laser-assisted cataract surgery we offer. This surgery delivers a more precise and personalized outcome. Why wouldn’t you top it off with a more advanced and personalized lens? Each premium lens is designed to fit a wide range of patient needs:
Crystalens® – corrects presbyopia (over-40 vision) as well as common refractive errors, providing an expanded range of clear vision and a decreased need for eyeglasses after cataract surgery
Tecnis Symfony® Extended Depth of Focus Lens – another excellent option if you deal with presbyopia (over-40 vision). This lens can minimize dependence on reading glasses and provide outstanding contrast, even in low-light conditions. Furthermore, it also reduces the effects of halos and glare. It is the only implant to provide a continuous, full range of vision at all distances.
Toric Lens – Astigmatic patients typically need additional correction beyond basic cataract replacement surgery to see clearly. This lens is designed to provide you with the ability to see objects at a distance while correcting your astigmatism at the same time.
Tecnis® Multifocal Lens – A multifocal lens implant designed to provide you with the ability to focus on objects at multiple distances in any lighting condition – near, intermediate and far. In most cases, it reduces your dependence on glasses; however, some people may still need them for reading the small print. Nearly 9 out of 10 people who choose Tecnis Multifocal IOLs enjoy freedom from eyeglasses after cataract surgery.
Trulign® Toric Lens – Enhances visual acuity and can reduce the need for glasses in day-to-day activities. Also corrects astigmatism and has the additional capacity to deliver improved vision across a natural range of focus, including uncorrected near, intermediate and distance vision. The patient may need glasses for small print.
Any Other Benefits to Premium Cataract Lenses?
Absolutely! Besides the personalized experience, premium cataract lenses allow you to enjoy life the way you want to. Reduced dependency means increased freedom to enjoy the activities you love. Whether you’re out for a hike, taking a dip in the pool or making your way through a round of eighteen, you’ll enjoy the freedom premium lenses provide. They won’t take any strokes off of your golf game, but they’ll make it easier to find your ball. You can now enjoy a good book or a relaxing evening out without holding the menu two inches from your face. In short, premium cataract lenses allow you to live your life unburdened by the hefty hardware used to navigate poor vision.
Still unsure if premium cataract lenses are right for you? Don’t worry! Our board-certified, experienced cataract surgeons are here to walk you through every step of the process and help you determine which lens is right for you!
