Dr. Tina Licina is a licensed optometrist certified by the national Board of Examiners in Optometry, practicing in Nevada and California since 2016. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, she attended the Western University of Life Sciences, College of Optometry, Pomona, CA receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016.
Dr. Licina completed her Residency Program at the VA, San Diego Healthcare System where she provided full scope optometry eye care including primary care, low vision exams, and eye exams for traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients including complete binocular vision testing and rehabilitation through vision therapy sessions. During her residency program, Dr. Licina has attended numerous lecture series with UCSD Ophthalmology and San Diego Optometric Society. Dr. Licina has also worked at the Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute in San Diego providing follow-up care for patients who have undergone refractive and cataract surgery and corneal surface treatments, including pterygium removal, crosslinking and Salzmann’s nodule removal.
She has volunteered for the Lions Club, providing free eye exams to over 2,000 patients in Tijuana, Mexico, as well as serving children in high-risk schools and underdeveloped areas in CA.
Dr. Licina specializes in general eye health examination and refraction, ocular disease and pre and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery care. She is fluent in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian.
Dr. Licina joined Center For Sight’s medical staff after returning to Las Vegas where she grew up and attended college. During her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and getting acquainted with different cultures, people and traditions.
